A small holistic counseling practice rooted in acceptance, trust, and companionship.
Serving adults and kids of all ages in Arlington, TX.
Come as you are.
Trust yourself. Like a seed that carries within it all that’s needed to become a thriving plant, you are already equipped with everything you need to grow. Through radical acceptance, we quiet the noise of trauma and adversity, allowing your true voice to guide your journey.
Experience meaningful connection.
You do not have to grow alone. Just as a plant seeks sunlight and water, we all need meaningful connections to flourish. Companionship strengthens us, helping us rediscover our inherent resilience. Your voice matters, your story matters. We are here to walk alongside you as you reconnect with yourself.
Understand your roots.
Uncover deeper truths. Trusting yourself allows you to slow down and listen to the wisdom within. Find a new state of awareness, guided and grounded by your own experience.
Grow with confidence.
You are hardwired to heal. Just as a plant thrives when given the right conditions, you will flourish as you tune into your inner voice, trust your experience, and blossom with confidence. In this way, growth becomes natural.
Fostering a healthier, resilient ecosystem.
About Us
We believe that relationship is at the center of growth and healing, so we want you to know who your therapists are here at Radish. Radish Counseling was born out of a friendship rooted in joy, compassion, and understanding. We, Rebecca and Abbi, met in graduate school and bonded over our love for laughing a lot, our commitment to vulnerable living, and our common desire to help others in an inclusive, holistic way.

I have always been fascinated by people’s stories and how each person has become who they are. My own story has been filled with heartache, rebirth, adventure, joy, and finding soul teachers along the way to guide me back to my true self time and time again. I have experienced in my own life and have witnessed in others the resilience of the human spirit and the ability to recover even from the hardest challenges of life. I believe that when we are fully accepted and understood by others, we begin discovering self-acceptance and move toward healing.
I am passionate about walking alongside you with compassion and understanding to help you find healing and transformation. My therapy style is nurturing and relationship centered, always trusting that you know yourself best. I am here as a companion who will help you move toward greater self-understanding and self-acceptance. We will collaborate together to find your path forward.
My background and experience reflect my joy in connecting with people in a deep and genuine way and my love for the inherent creativity of life. I have a Bachelors of Arts in English, Creative Writing from Appalachian State University, an Associates Degree in Photojournalism, and a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas. I have specialized experience in equine-assisted counseling, play therapy, and somatic-based therapy working alongside individuals across the lifespan with histories of trauma.

Connectivity and community are at the heart of my own journey towards radical acceptance of myself and others. In seasons of my life where isolation felt most present, it was through deeply meaningful relationships that I was able to move through pain and reconnect with peace and joy and acceptance within myself. Living intentionally with others has allowed me to experience deep trust and vulnerability and this is what has led to my own deepest healing. These experiences and values strongly inform my identity and practice as a counselor.
My education and experience are grounded in social justice, which plays a significant role in how I show up as a therapist. I have a Bachelors of Arts in English from the University of Delaware, a Masters of Arts in Social Justice and Community Development from Loyola University of Chicago, and a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas. My clinical counseling experience has focused on working with individuals across the lifespan working through traumatic experiences. I have specialized training in child-centered play therapy through the Center for Play Therapy at the University of North Texas and am working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Chelsea Yurkovich, PhD, LPC-S, RPT-S, Certified CCPT-S/CPRT-S and my license number is 96258.
My approach to counseling is one of joy, companionship, and support. Our work together is not to “fix” you, it is to reconnect you with what already lies within you. My hope is that our sessions together will contain meaningful growth and also spaciousness and laughter.
Services + Fees
Child and Play Therapy
We are trained in child centered play therapy for children ages 3 to 10 who may need support developmentally, emotionally, mentally, and physically.
Play therapy offers a safe, consistent therapeutic environment where we provide empathy, understanding, and full acceptance of your kid exactly where they are developmentally. Adults express themselves through words and children express themselves through play. We have a specifically designed play therapy room where we provide an inviting environment for your child to explore their emotions with their therapist through play with a variety of toys that encourage free expression. Between building both a relationship with your child during therapy sessions and you as the parents during parent consultations, your kid will work toward a more positive self-image, develop relational skills, and work through emotional hardships and behavioral difficulties.
We are your support and will collaborate with you. We will provide concrete ways for you to connect with your child deeper and develop a greater understanding of their inner world and outer behaviors.
Adolescent Counseling
We love working alongside adolescents (ages 11-17) who may need support. Teens are faced with many different challenges during this time in their lives as they are learning how to be independent while simultaneously working toward building healthy relationships with friends and family in an ever-changing world.
We provide activity-based therapy and traditional talk therapy and meet each adolescent where they are developmentally. We know how important strong relational connection is during this time and work to provide a trusting and safe space for adolescents to express themselves while also honoring their autonomy and individualism.
Adolescents who may benefit from counseling include: those struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, grief from a loss, want a safe, therapeutic space to explore their identity, experiencing a life transition, or may feel disconnected from parents and/or others.

Relationship Therapy
A partnership is one of the most fulfilling relationships, but sometimes we can hit challenges that feel impossible to overcome. Intimacy requires vulnerability, which does not always feel accessible. We offer relationship counseling to those who are struggling with communication, emotional connection, physical intimacy, life transitions, and other common issues in partnerships.
We take a holistic approach to relationship counseling where we work to uncover the root issues underneath your difficulties and create an environment that encourages both acceptance of your partner and acceptance of yourself. We provide a safe and neutral environment for individuals in relationships to openly express their feelings while also providing a framework and concrete tools to help you increase your connection and work toward the transformation you are seeking.
Individual Counseling
We are passionate about providing a warm, accepting, and healing space where individuals feel free to express their emotions and move toward healing. We believe that acceptance fosters empowerment. We are here to collaborate with you and provide a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel empowered to understand yourself deeper and find your path toward healing. You and your story are unique from anyone else’s and so is your journey toward healing and transformation.
We will walk alongside you, offer guidance, and always point you back to the wisdom within yourself. We are amazed at how the human spirit is able to recover from even the hardest of experiences time and time again. Our approach to counseling is grounded in the belief that resilience already lies within you. We are here to support you in accessing the tools and wisdom you need within yourself. We would love to support you in your healing. You may benefit from therapy if:
- You are suffering from grief/loss
- You are struggling with anxiety
- You are struggling with depression
- You are experiencing a life transition
- You would like support exploring your identity
- You are experiencing difficulty expressing your emotions
- You are feeling disconnected from yourself
- You are feeling disconnected from others
- You are experiencing relationship difficulties
- You would like a safe place to express yourself
- You would like to process trauma (present or past)
Trauma Therapy
At Radish, we believe that the experience of trauma is deeply personal. What defines trauma changes from person to person and we believe that trauma therapy should reflect this deeply personal nature and experience of trauma. Our trauma therapy meets our clients exactly where they are in their healing and the therapeutic process reflects the pace and direction of our clients.
Our approach to healing trauma is rooted in empathy and companionship. Our traumatic experiences want us to believe we are alone. We believe in the inherent resilience within you and will work to help you gain access to the resilience which has been blocked as a result of trauma.
If you are interested in trauma-specific therapy, we invite you to schedule an individual counseling session where we can work together to determine the focus of your counseling.
